CCSGP x STEER Programme

The CCSGP x STEER program offers a study trip exclusively for current School of Computing undergraduate students. The primary goal is to foster mental well-being among our students through a "digital detox," encouraging them to step away from their computers and venture beyond their comfort zones.

Over the course of ten days, students will have the unique opportunity to embark on a sailing adventure alongside seasoned seafarers, School of Computing faculty, and their fellow peers. During this immersive experience, participants will delve into the fundamentals of sailing and navigation, all while discovering diverse islands in the Southeast Asian region.

This transformative journey encompasses a range of activities, including but not limited to snorkeling, trekking, kayaking, and ocean swimming.

What Students Say

After 10 eventful days out at sea we were finally at the end of our trip. It was both a physically and mentally challenging journey and there were times where I was pushed to my limits. However, I managed to pull through with the help of those around me and this really demonstrated that it is ok to rely on those around me.
